Turningator - Open House in Altdorf
In continuation of the exhibitions EMO 2009 in Milan and Power Gen 2009 in Las Vegas the “Turningator – the mobile CNC Machining Center” was shown at RUAG Technology’s Open House taking place in April in Altdorf, Switzerland.
Interested parties took advantage of the opportunity to see the Turningator live, machining big rings made of steel and cast iron.
The Business Unit Mechanical Engineering demonstrated in-house during several half-day-events the features of the machine to potential customers and users.
A presentation given by Daniel Erni, Senior Manager Sales and Marketing imparted interesting knowledge about RUAG and the multi-functional applications of the Turningator to the visitors.
More flexibility – less downtime
No matter whether you’re a power station operator and thus have your own maintenance department, or whether you produce or maintain power station components. The mobile CNC processing center «Turningator» is an efficient solution that matches your needs precisely. This versatile CNC processing center enables you, for instance, to machine heavy turbine housings on-site at the power station. They can also be used vertically in hydroelectric power stations. This new system enables you to remarkably reduce downtimes and eliminate any costs for transporting turbine housings.
